Real Estate Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Analyst to join our team. This role will be key in evaluating bank collateral, assisting in market analysis, and providing valuable insights to lending and appraisal staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate, finance, and market trends, with a passion for learning and growing within the field of property valuation.
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-house evaluations on various types of bank collateral, including land, residential, commercial, industrial, and special-use properties.
- Assist the appraisal team with market analysis, gathering relevant data, and generating comprehensive reports.
- Advise lending staff and other bank personnel on appraisal guidelines, property valuation, and market trends.
- Prepare monthly and annual reports on departmental performance and valuation trends.
- Participate in the Appraisal Institute curriculum, continuing education relevant to the role.
- Review evaluations and appraisals completed by other department staff for accuracy and compliance.
- Actively manage evaluation requests and orders using the department’s ordering software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a business-related field, minimum one year of prior experience in real estate, banking or underwriting; Or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Previous experience in finance, economics, math, or real estate is a plus.
- Real estate valuation education or experience is preferred, though not required.
