Supporting Generations of Agriculture At FIBT

On a crisp morning in October, FIBT Ag Loan Officer Jayden Leiseth is up with the sun to deliver hay to hungry cattle on her family's ranch north of Watford City, North Dakota.

"Every day is different," Leiseth says, "but for the most part, you wake up, feed them before you feed yourself, and you check on them before you go to bed."

Leiseth's love of the agriculture industry began when she moved to the region to be closer to her grandfather's quarter horse operation as a first grader. "We got into cows when the oil boom hit," she says. "My grandpa raised them growing up. Then he remembered his love and got more cows, and that's how I got my passion."

Her passion led her to a career as an ag lender at First International Bank & Trust – and it informs the work she does each day. "I understand their way of life," she says. "To be a rancher or a farmer, your job is sunup to sundown. Sometimes you might need money in a crunch, and you need to talk to your lender."

"They trust us with their cows," she continues. "They trust us with their money. They trust us with their livelihood." That's why the ag lending team at First International Bank & Trust makes itself available from early in the morning until late at night: to support the industry that feeds the world and drives the economy forward.
